Skyscraper Sandwich
The tallest sandwich ever built
was made by Stacy Stickle
who started with a slice of bread
and one enormous pickle.
She piled on pounds of provolone,
pastrami full of spices,
a chicken leg, some scrambled eggs,
nineteen tomato slices…
The sandwich grew to greet the sky –
as high as great Paul Bunyan.
She had to use a ladder
so that she could add some onion.With one more piece of bread on top,
dear Stacy did complete it,
then sighed and said, “It’s just too tall
for me to ever eat it.”
